Given Away On: Any old school Nickelodeon game show (Legends of the Hidden Temple, Figure it Out, GUTS, etc.)

Who Wanted It: Any kid who liked plastic clicking noises

What Made It Terrible: BK Ratch Tech was given to the contestants who went home in the first round, sucked at climbing the Aggro Crag, or couldn't figure it out. BK Ratch Techs were the epitome of not cool. The shoes also helped separate our youth into two groups: the L.A. Lights/BK Ratch Tech kids and everyone else. Whenever you spotted a kid eating his boogers or getting his ass kicked, he more than likely belonged to the first group.

 

Space Camp

Given Away On: Once again, any Nickelodeon game show.

Who Wanted It: Pssshhh...everyone!

What Made It Terrible: Two things...

1. It only lasted like two days.
2. I didn't get to go.

If you were one of the lucky few to win a trip to Space Camp, chances are it was only for two days. Two days isn't long enough to turn you into the drunken, diaper wearing astronauts that you see on TV. (The previous sentence was a joke- if you don't get it, consider yourself uninformed. Maybe you should go turn off the My Super Sweet 16 and turn on the news.) I really wanted to go... and maybe I could have turned out to be an astronaut. That way I wouldn't have to go to class and deal with this:

Stay on your side assholes! I wish I was at Space Camp...

Given Away On: Most shows- I am thinking particularly of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire though.

Who Wanted It: No one should, but some people seemed destined.

What Makes It Terrible: Well...embarrasment, humiliation, and not having the money to return home come to mind. Check out a few dumbasses determined to be homeless in the next few years:

Gonorrhea

Given Away On: Many shows (including The Price is Right) but especially Real World.

Who Wanted It: No one.

What Makes It Terrible: According to the Center for Disease Control:

"Many men with gonorrhea may have no symptoms at all, some men have some signs or symptoms that appear two to five days after infection; symptoms can take as long as 30 days to appear. Symptoms and signs include a burning sensation when urinating, or a white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis. Sometimes men with gonorrhea get painful or swollen testicles."

Seriously, if you aren't slutty and drunk, are you allowed on the Real World?

 

A Boat

Given Away On: The Price is Right

Who Wanted It: Captain Jack Sparrow

What Makes it Terrible: When watching The Price is Right showcase, you can predict that the first showcase will be passed on if:

1. The big prize is furniture.
2. The big prize is a boat.

So, you got some brother from the hood and you want to give him a boat? What the hell is he going to do with that? Even if you are one of the few people who could use a boat, there is no way you are going to make a bid if the big prize isn't a brand new car. I mean... a boat? A boat? A boat? Not a car...not a car... a boat? Boat? Not the car I go out everyday and drive...we talking about a boat? Boat?
